Shake & Break™

We’ve use it a few times and each time our 4 month ALD puppy freaks out & runs (zooming) everywhere. She even ran into the wall and chairs hurting herself. Doesn’t matter what side of the shaker we use dull sound or sharp sound. The results are the same. Can’t have our new puppy hurting herself and running out of control. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have never witnessed anything like this. She is absolutely terrified. She won’t come near us after and keeps her tail between her legs. As we approach her she runs off and hides. Can’t have her breaking a leg or hurting her head because she is freaking out over the sound of the shaker. So we can’t use it for her own safety. No good for us and into the trash it will go.

I’m really glad to find this shaker (again). I have one at both sides of the house. I have two Dobermans. A gentle shake really changes their mental state. The dice make a different sound than the older version (that had smaller beads) and now that I’ve used it, the new model does work better.

I so want this to work better to disrupt inwanted behavior but it is inconsistently effective.
